  • Kim Piller, Chair

    Kim is a sales and leadership trainer with Sandler Training.


    Kim holds a Business Administration Marketing Management Diploma from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and a Bachelor of Commerce – Marketing Management from Ryerson University. 


    Kim grew up in Port Credit, Ontario. Currently living in the Lorne Park area with his wife, Irene. Together they are the proud parents of four children and 3 grandchildren. 


  • Catharine Shipp Wells

    Catharine brings several years of community volunteer Board experience, having served on (former) Peel CCAC and Trillium Health Centre, retiring as Board Chair of the former Trillium Health Centre. 


    Catharine was an Executive at a family business, which celebrated over 100 years building and developing properties in Mississauga, Etobicoke and Florida. 


    Catharine graduated from Western University and completed the Institute of Corporate Directors Certification at Rotman School of Business.


    Catharine enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, nourishing her garden. 

  • Diana Noel

    Diana Noel has lived in Mississauga for more than 30 years. She has served on the CarePoint Board since its inception. Professionally, Diana is a retired health care executive. In her most recent role, she was Executive Director of Village Family Health Team. 


    As an active volunteer, Diana recently served on the Mississauga Food Bank board as chair Governance Committee. She also served on the Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario as a board member and treasurer. 

  • Dipesh Pattni

    Dipesh is a leader in source-to-pay (S2P) & procurement space with proven methods to improve the bottom-line for Fortune 500 organizations.  He is a visionary for what great looks like and a master team-builder for rapid scale-up. 


    Dipesh has modernized enterprise systems, transformed business models and democratized value capture across lines of businesses.  He is a member of the Audit & Finance Committee and envisions an accountable organization from patient, family, physician, clinical staff and caregiver’s experience.  


    Through his work on strategy, transformation, and organizational change in the private sector, Dipesh has scaled up Fortune 500 organizations by creating strong and supportive teams around its leaders.

  • Dr. Cal Gutkin

    Dr. Calvin Gutkin, a family physician, served as Head of Emergency and Chief of Medical Staff of Credit Valley Hospital.  He also held the position of Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) for 17 years.


    Dr. Gutkin was a physician for Ontario and Canadian Special Olympics and the Toronto Youth Athletic Club which helped disadvantaged boys. He completed three terms on the National Board of The Michaelle Jean Foundation.


    He has published numerous articles and presented keynote and other addresses at meetings across Canada, in the United States, and abroad.


    In 2012 he was awarded “Honorary Membership” – the highest honour of the 105,000 member American Academy of Family Physicians – in recognition of his contributions to family medicine on both sides of the border. In 2012, Dr Gutkin also received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal recognizing his leadership and contributions to Family Medicine in Canada.


    “The Dr. Calvin L Gutkin Ambassador Award” is now presented annually by the CFPC to an outstanding individual who has demonstrated leadership in building relationships and fostering teamwork and collaboration among health care groups.

  • Errol Whittle

    Errol is a passionate small business consultant who, through his firm, Effectuation Optimum Inc., provides a comprehensive array of consulting and coaching services specifically designed for small business owners across various industries and sizes. 


    Errol earned his MBA from Oxford Brookes University in England and is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA). His extensive experience of more than thirty years in business consulting and auditing encompasses work in both Jamaica and Canada. This includes senior roles at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC Jamaica) prior to relocating to Canada in 2000, followed by roles at several highly regulated Canadian financial institutions, and the founding of Effectuation Optimum Inc. in 2020.


    Currently, Errol holds the position of Treasurer for two nonprofit organizations: 1) The Kingston College Old Boys Association (Toronto Chapter) - This 50-year-old organization aims to enhance the welfare of students at Kingston College Secondary School in Jamaica, his alma mater. 2) Educate GenNEXT - A 20-year-old organization committed to providing financial support for deserving students in rural towns throughout Jamaica.

  • Gulzar Ladhani

    Gulzar Ladhani holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) specializing in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall Law School, building on her academic background in both business and law. Her legal practice focused on corporate and personal tax planning, equipping her with a solid foundation in strategic and financial matters.


    With a deep commitment to community service and governance, Gulzar has served on several boards, including the Mississauga Halton Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), the Centre for Skills Development—where she was Board Chair—the Aga Khan Conciliation and Arbitration Board for Ontario and the Oakville Children’s Choir.


    She has also contributed to leadership development as a past mentor for young directors through the Fora Network’s Girls on Board program. Gulzar brings a collaborative approach to board service, guided by her legal expertise and passion for empowering community-focused organizations.


  • Louis Girard

    Louis Girard was CEO for Uti Canada for 8.5 years, a 156 Million annual Public Corporation. Customer service included end to end Logistics and Forwarding all part of a Global Network team (Offices in 134 countries) responsible for 13 sites across Canada. Success was achieved through the motivation and alignment of people to create added value for customers. Currently Louis teaches part time Supply Chain Logistics Grad Program at Humber College.


    Louis has successfully obtained two business diplomas from Ryerson University, and University of Toronto and a BA from the University of Guelph. Louis is a certified director (ICD.D) of the Institute of Corporate Directors, at the Rotman School of Management; University of Toronto Previous Board experience includes Vice Chair of Credit Valley Hospital and Director with the WSIB.


    He is also bilingual in French and Innu Essispit (First Nation).


    Louis has a passion for hockey, including TV commentating, fitness instructor, teaching, Board work, spending family time at the cottage and above all helping people enjoy life.

  • Nancy Ekels

    Nancy has a seasoned financial background in public accounting and private health industry, including small start-up companies, mergers and acquisitions and leading large allied health private organizations.


    With a personal focus of promoting an active lifestyle and nutritious foods, Nancy truly appreciates the opportunity to make a difference in health care in Mississauga and beyond. A CPA, CA, Nancy has assumed the role of Treasurer of the Board, and Chair of the Audit & Finance Committee.

  • Sandy Milakovic

    A Registered Nurse, Sandy graduated from Sick Kids in 1970. After focusing for a few years on neurosurgery and neo natal intensive care, she worked in Psychiatry at St. Joes. In 1980, Sandy began at Canadian Mental Health Association/Peel. Prior to becoming CEO, she obtained her Voluntary Sector Management Certificate from the Schulich School of Business.


    Volunteer commitments have included the United Way of Peel, City of Mississauga Governance Committee, Oomama, (Stephen Lewis Foundation), Grandmothers Advocacy Network, and The Crossland Environmental Foundation.

  • Scott McLeod

    Scott is a “semi-retired” Health Care executive with 30 years of experience, focused on leading people and organizations to new levels of performance and results.  


    A strategic, self-motivated and impactful influencer who thrives in complex and ambiguous environments able to forge and leverage strong relationships to remove barriers and drive progress and achieve the vision.  


    A sought-after change agent who communicates with candour and passion creating a clear sense of direction. An integrative thinker with a passion for driving continuous quality improvement and business transformation and a demonstrated ability to successfully lead and empower diverse teams to create solutions to complex problems.


    In addition to serving on a number of other Boards, Scott is a Senior Advisor for Isaac Operations and for StrategyCorp. Scott has lived in Mississauga with his wife for over 30 years.

  • Steve Heck

    Steve leads a team of Gartner Executive Partners that function as trusted and strategic advisor for Global Enterprises, partnering with IT Executives and their leadership teams, guiding them to successfully execute business strategies that are underpinned by technology. 


    Steve brings to this position his rich experience with Microsoft Canada, where he ‘ran IT like a business’ by leveraging IT as an asset to create business value and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Mary-Ellen Anderson

    Mary-Ellen Anderson has over 30 years of experience in developing innovative practices and strategic partnerships to scale new services and products, exceeding goals in audience engagement, marketing and revenue across media, technology, and non-profit sectors.

     

    As Head of Special Projects and Innovation with ALUS Canada, Mary-Ellen integrated technology solutions and developed impactful partnerships to support ALUS’ goal of empowering farmers and ranchers to produce nature-based solutions to combat climate change.

     

    At Microsoft Canada, Mary-Ellen led technical and marketing teams to drive awareness and adoption of cloud computing and AI to help individuals and organizations build cutting edge, cost-effective applications, and infrastructure to exceed shared goals.

     

    Before her career in technology, Mary-Ellen spent nearly two decades with Canadian public and private broadcasters. She began her career in forestry after graduating from Lakehead University and is currently a member of the board of Forests Canada.
