Foot problems are common in people with Diabetes and other chronic conditions and can lead to serious complications. CarePoint Health’s Chiropody Clinic aims to provide patient education and individualized foot care services. Our Chiropodist services clients who are at risk of developing foot problems (e.g., those with Diabetes) and those unable to provide their own foot care.
As a key member of our health care team, the chiropodist has many skills to help you get rid of foot pain, become mobile, and maintain healthy feet. Some of the conditions a patient may be referred for include:
- Flat feet, high arch feet, and foot pain;
- Common foot problems such as corns, warts, ingrown toenails, or calluses;
- Foot deformities and misalignments in both adults and children; and
- Foot ulcers and wounds (mostly caused by diabetes).
The Chiropodist works in close collaboration with affiliated physicians and interprofessional health care providers at CarePoint Health.
